In the midst of some of the most socially and economically disadvantaged areas of Belfast you will find Kinderkids Day Care, the first community-owned and managed full daycare centres in the city.

Situated in the New Lodge and Cliftonville areas of North Belfast. Kinderkids Day Care provides quality childcare provision for 140 children per day aged between 6 months and 12 years. Fully registered with social services, these are much needed services in areas characterised by high levels of socio-economic deprivation with high proportions of lone parents. Statistics show that both the New Lodge and Cliftonville areas have a higher than average proportion of young people, and a higher level of unemployed households with dependent children, than most other areas of Belfast.

To facilitate parents, the day-cares are open daily from 8am – 6pm each weekday, providing both part time and full time care. To deliver this significant service the project currently has a workforce of 39 including a manager, administrator, cook and 36 qualified staff.
